Why Cell Phone Jammers, Cellular Jammers, and Mobile Phone Jammers are Illegal in the United States?

It has been illegal to use cell phone jammers, cellular jammers or mobile phone jammers in the United States for many years. The FCC has clear rules against any type of cellular jammer or mobile phone jammer. In fact, using a jammer can result in a fine of up to $11,000 dollars. Mobile phone jammers don’t just interfere with the signal from the nearest cell phone tower. They work by sending out an RF, or radio frequency, signal that is more powerful than the nearest cell phonebase station (cell phonetower). So the jammer makes cell phones in the area unusable.
