Are your products legal in all countries?
Yes. The product operates only as a detector. It does not listen to conversations or interfere with the mobile signal in any way. The detector is a completely passive device and does not send out any radio-frequency signals. The unit should not be confused with a jammer, which is illegal in the United States and most other Western Countries.

Will the Zone Protector interfere with any other devices?
No. Since the unit is only a detection device, it does not transmit any radio frequencies.

Will your Zone Protector detect the wireless LAN in our office?
Yes. The unit can detect Wi-Fi, as well as many transmissions at other frequencies. But, if this capability is not desired, it can be turned off.

What is the range of the Zone Protector?
The sensitivity of the cell-phone detector can be adjusted from just a few feet up to about one hundred feet. Thanks to the versatility and scalability of the detector, you can have an array of detectors to provide complete coverage of your entire facility, all centrally managed by our Zone Manager software.

How difficult is it to get the Zone Protector unit set up and working?
The Zone Protector is shipped with complete, clear instructions. With the Quick Start Guide, you can get the unit operational within a matter of minutes. If The Zone Manager software is loaded onto a server, a higher level of expertise may be required. Your local IT support can help or, if needed, Cellbusters can assist you.

How is the Zone Protector unit powered?

The unit is powered by Power Over Ethernet (POE) when plugged into an Ethernet port. It can also be powered by an AC adapter/transformer. For portability, the unit comes with a rechargeable battery, which can provide up to 12 hours of operation. In the event of a power loss, the battery can keep the unit running until the power is restored.

Is the cell phone detector unit portable?

Yes. The unit comes with an internal rechargeable battery, which makes it completely portable.

Do I need any tools to set up the Zone Protector?

No, unless you plan to wall mount the detector. When installing or removing the rechargeable batter, you may need a small Phillips screwdriver.

How does the Zone Protector register an alarm?

As soon as the Active Monitoring Technology picks up a transmission from a mobile device within the programmed distance sensitivity, it will register to the microprocessor that an event has occurred. The frequency type, energy level and length of the transmission will all be registered and stored for later analysis. The device can be programmed to alarm in several ways. It can have a visual display on the front of the unit, it can produce a sound effect or a vocal recording through the internal loudspeaker to let person using a phone in the vicinity of the detector know that the phone has been detected. The Zone Manager software can also be monitored at any computer screen, so you can see the activities of the detector in real time. This feature can be especially useful for highly sensitive areas and prisons.

Why is it such a high level of technology built into the Zone Protector?
Due to the level of sophistication of today’s cellular technology, it’s no longer possible to detect accurately the level of information needed to counter threats with the older technology in almost all of the detectors on the market. Newer and more advanced technology was needed to provide the optimal management of cellular activity in a managed zone. Only the technology developed by Cellbusters in the Zone Protector offers the level of control that’s required. Your security depends on having the most accurate information available. Cellbusters products provide it. The ability to analyze weeks or months of data in easily displayed charts can give you an accurate picture of cellular activity and the way the levels of the activity have been fluctuating. If you’re implementing a “No Cell Phone Policy,” you can use our products to monitor how the policy is being adhered to over time. When security audits occur, you can have detailed reports that show how much cellular activity occurred in a specific area. This level of management is what you need to counteract today’s threats.

Will it detect the phones in my country?

Yes. The Zone Protector detects all analog and all digital cellular phones, smart phones and mobile cellular devices. It detects all cellular transmission types in the US, Europe and most countries around the world.

How about the newest transmission types, such as 4G and LTE?

The Zone Protector was designed to detect all the newest transmission types used by today’s cell phone carriers. It’s also designed to be upgradable, so that any newer transmission frequencies can be programmed into the device. So you can be assured that you’ll be making an investment in your security for today and well into the future. No other detector on the market can provide this comprehensive and upgradeable protection.

Can I pinpoint the location of an unauthorized mobile device using Cellbusters products?

Yes. Using our Zone Manager software, you can load an image of a map of your facility into the application. Then, by deploying a number of devices, you can use triangulation to pinpoint on the map the exact location of the phone to within feet of its location. This precision is especially useful for prisons and other highly sensitive areas.

What form of payment do you accept?

We accept all major Credit Cards, including Government Credit Cards, Paypal, Bank Transfers, and, for established customers, invoicing. For specialized payments, please contact a Cellbusters representative.

Do you ever require private and sensitive information to place an order?

We do not request any information unless it is absolutely necessary to process your order or to track previous orders.
Cellbusters.com will not request information, such as a social security number, personal identification number(s) (PIN) from a bank or credit card, or a driver’s license number.

What is Cellbusters.com policy on privacy?

Cellbusters never sells or shares any sensitive personal information, period. Of course, our bank must process your credit card information, and the shipping company will need your delivery address.
We have many customers, including governments and security organizations, who rely on the complete protection of their privacy. They know they can trust Cellbusters to protect it.

What country can I order from?
You can order from almost any country in the world. Cellbusters ships all over the world. We or one of our trusted partners will process your order.

If I place an order, when is it shipped?

Your shipment will typically go out that same day you place an order or, if you place it after the cut-off time, the next business day.

Is my order insured?
Yes. We insure all shipments for loss or damage during shipping, and we only use major shipping companies, such as UPS, FedEx and the United States Postal Service. We understand that purchasing a Zone Protector from Cellbusters is a sizeable investment, and we do our utmost to protect your investment.

Do you ship to APO addresses?
The United States Military is an extremely important customer for Cellbusters. So we make arrangements to ship to all APO addresses.

Do you accept WAWF contract invoicing?
Yes. We’re in all Government systems and can process orders where invoicing is done through Wide Area Workflow. We’re also registered in ORCA. If needed, you can request our CAGE and DUNS numbers.

If I need a W9 Form filled out for our records, how do you handle it?
If you need a W9 Form filled out to complete a purchase, we’ll be more than happy to fill one out and fax or email it to you. This request is common for larger orders, so we’re very familiar with it.

Will I get a receipt for my purchase?
Yes. All purchases come with a receipt, which can be sent by email, regular mail, or inserted in your package.

What is your return policy?
Items can be returned within 30 days for a refund. Please, unpack carefully. When returned, the device and packaging must be in new condition.
